'I am interested in the displacement within society of atypical gender modes and the effect this has on my personal sexual identity. I have developed an alter ego that fulfils the more prominent female side of my personality and creates work employing stereotypical feminine imagery. The work produced is glamorous, decorative, ornamental, and camp. The male aspect of my personality is juxtaposed against the symbolism that surrounds the feminine'.
